From our friends at IFC.com, here’s the new video from Austin-based musician Bob Schneider, “40 Dogs (Like Romeo and Juliet).” The video is directed by another Austinite, filmmaker Robert Rodriguez. The song is off Schneider’s great new album Lovely Creatures.

I really liked this song. Bob Schneider always amazes me with the use of his syncopated lyrical approaches to some of his songs. It makes me want to go out and listen to rest of his new record and see what else he has to surprise me with. Having seen Bob Schneider at live shows many times while living in Austin, my ears were always surprised by the many styles and approaches he takes with his music. I look forward to hearing the rest of his latest release.
