The Kills, featuring singer Alison Mosshart and guitarist Jamie Hince, have a new album Blood Pressures that is really very good. They were all over SXSW in Austin, and I’m truly sorry I missed ’em. Mosshart may be the hottest chick in rock right now, and they have an awesome sound that is punk rough but refined and sexy. They played at the IFC House during the festival, and here they do “Baby Says” from the new album.

She so deftly blends her live performance with the backing track that it’s truly spellbinding to watch. “Theresa Andersson: Live at Le Petit,” with special guests including the legendary Allen Toussaint, is available now at Theresa’s website.
